CONTINUAL, CONTINUOUS
Continual is used of frequently repeated acts, as, 'Continual dropping wears away a stone;' continuous, of uninterrupted action, as, 'the continuous flowing of a river.'
EXAMPLES:
1) Continual showers spoiled their baseball game.
2) The snow storm was continuous for two days.
3) Because of continual interruptions, it is difficult to maintain a continuous train of thought.
