Capitalization — the Bible, Deity

Capitalize the names of the Deity and personal pronouns referring to the Deity unless the name immediately precedes.

EX.— The Lord be praised.
EX.— We pray in His name.
EX.— God, the Almighty.
EX.— And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night.

Always capitalize the words Bible and Scripture, together with the names of the books of the same: God, Saviour, Jesus, Holy Ghost, Genesis, Psalms.

EX.— The Holy Bible
EX.— the Old Testament
EX.— the Acts of the Apostles.

NOTE— When you refer to the Bible as simply a book, you do not use a capital letter: "Six bibles were sold this morning."

NOTE— Capital letters are used to begin the names of other sacred writings; as, The Koran, The Torah, etc.
